Screen Print

Your logo is transferred through a fine mesh screen onto the pencil barrel. Each color requires a separate screen and pass. Screen print offers the best balance of cost and quality for simple logos — it is the most common method for school supply programmes, promotional giveaways, and corporate branding orders.

Hot Stamp Foil

A heated die presses metallic or pigmented foil onto the barrel surface, leaving a premium reflective logo. The foil can be gold, silver, copper, holographic, or custom colour-matched. Hot stamping is preferred for gift sets, luxury stationery, and corporate executive gifts where the logo must communicate quality in a single glance.

Cost:Mid-range — foil cost scales with coverage area

Digital Print

Digital inkjet directly prints your artwork onto the pencil barrel. No screens or dies required — the digital file goes straight to production. Best for complex artwork with gradients, photographs, or designs requiring more than 4 colors. Also the best option for short runs (under 3,000 pcs) where screen setup costs would dominate.

Standard MOQ is 3,000 pieces per design. For first-time trial orders, lower quantities may be accommodated — ask our sales team about sample-run availability. Screen print MOQ typically starts at 3,000 due to screen setup costs. Digital print can go as low as 500 pieces since it requires no screen or die preparation.
How long does custom logo pencil production take?+
Standard lead time is 15-25 business days from artwork approval. Rush orders can be completed in 7-10 business days with a 15-20% surcharge. The timeline breaks down as: artwork proof (1-2 days), screen/die preparation (2-3 days), production run (5-10 days), QC inspection (1 day), packaging and shipping (2-5 days).
What file format should I provide for my logo?+
Vector format (AI, EPS, PDF, or SVG) is preferred — it allows us to scale your logo to the exact imprint area without quality loss. For digital print, high-resolution raster files (PNG or TIFF at 300+ DPI) also work. If you only have a JPG or screenshot of your logo, send it anyway — our pre-press team evaluates and advises on any artwork adjustments needed.
Can you match my brand colors on the pencil barrel?+
Yes. Barrel lacquer and imprint inks are matched to your brand's Pantone references. A physical colour swatch is sent for your approval before production begins. For barrel colours, we can also match to RAL or your own physical sample — you mail us the target, we match it, you confirm before the line runs.
What is the maximum logo size on a pencil?+
The standard imprint area is 85mm × 6mm on a standard 7-inch hexagonal pencil — roughly the flat area between the barrel edge and the next facet. For longer logos, the imprint can extend to 100mm on premium jumbo pencils with a wider flat face. Our pre-press team will send you a scaled mockup showing exactly how your logo fits within the imprint area before you commit.
Do you provide samples before mass production?+
Yes. We produce 12-20 pre-production samples with your logo applied and ship them via DHL/FedEx (typically 3-5 business days). You inspect finish quality, logo placement, colour accuracy, and sharpening behaviour before authorizing the full run. Pre-production samples are free for orders above 10,000 pcs; for smaller orders, a sample fee applies (credited against the final order).
